Lindy Thomas is a graduate of Coach Academy International, was a small business owner for over 15 years, has worked for 14 years in church and executive administration, has 30 concurrent years of teaching experience, has been happily married 41 years, and has raised 3 successful daughters into adulthood who still like her.

So much of my early adult life was just a massive transitional period: college, graduation, marriage, pregnancy, parenthood, divorce, moving to a new town and reentering the work force, learning how to be a single mom – and things got even crazier after I turned 24. It often felt like I was adrift in the woods – which tells you how confused and scrambled I was, because you don’t drift in the woods, but I did.

Over time I came to realize that the life coaching knowledge and skill set is a combination of things: training, experience, and God-given discernment. I’ve been to a number of licensed therapists over the years and quite frankly, none of their psychobabble has ever held a candle to the Thomas/Copeland style.

Many times I just needed out-loud clarification of things I already knew, and that was provided for me with a kindness and understanding I’ve never seen anywhere else. Still other times, I needed help that couldn’t be provided by life coaching, and in those cases, I was always pointed in the right direction

There’s nothing quite as healing and refreshing as knowing you’ve got someone in your corner who can see the whole picture and show you how to back up a bit so you can see it, too.
